Description: The formula for Available AMT adjustment before sale was incorrectly incorporating the current year AMT adjustment. The negative adjustment that would result from the sale of ISO’s would not be available until the holding period had be met. Consequently the AMTI negative adjustment on sale was incorrect.

Affected scenarios: The following situations are affected by this bug: Qualified exercises in the same year as a qualified sale.

Impact: This bug affected the timing of the reversal adjustment when Incentive Stock Options were sold. The ratio of the current year’s positive AMT adjustment from the exercise of ISO’s to the negative adjustment applicable to ISO shares sold in the same year determined the materiality of this bug. This bug resulted in an understatement of Tentative Minimum Tax in years in which ISO’s were exercised and mature ISO shares were sold.

Description: The values on this line on both the Assumptions sheet and the Case sheet were reported incorrectly. The program read out of the table for "Single" filing status regardless of actual filing status. This has now been fixed.

Affected scenarios: All cases other than those with a filing status of "Single".

Impact: This bug affected only this output single line; actual tax calculations were NOT affected. Any strategies based or optimized to this number may need review, depending on the client AGI and their filing status. In most cases, the reported number is probably quite close to the correct one.

Description: In some unusual cases, running a "sell to cover" strategy when options are underwater in the final year would result in a spurious error message box appearing on the screen.
