| Microsoft Employees Face Big Financial
Decision |
As you've probably
heard, Microsoft employees have about 4 weeks to decide
to participate in a program that will cash out their
underwater employee stock options. The "Microsoft Stock
Option Transfer Program" can be summarized as follows:
- MSFT employees will have until November 12th to
elect to transfer their stock options with grant
prices higher than $33 to JP Morgan
- Employees must transfer all of their eligible
options to participate
- The total payment will be determined by the
average closing price of MSFT stock during an average
period that will begin shortly after the
election period ends and will continue for a number of
trading days currently expected to be 15
- Total payments over $20,000 will be paid out in 1
or 2 additional annual installments depending on level
